The trader dashboard
The dashboard is the app's home screen (/app/). It gathers every test and strategy run you have saved into one view: headline figures, the equity curve, breakdowns by month, session, weekday, symbol, timeframe and setup, your prop challenges, your data and your account. Everything is computed in your browser from your own tests. Your trades are never uploaded; the only thing the dashboard reads from the server is your plan (trial or Pro, and how many days are left).
Layout
- Four layouts: Performance, Prop firm, Practice and your own Custom one. The first change you make turns a layout into Custom; Reset to preset goes back.
- Edit layout lets you drag a widget by its handle, move it earlier or later with the arrow buttons, change its size, hide it, and add hidden widgets back. Everything can be done with the keyboard.
- With cloud sync on, your layout, units and filters follow your account to your other devices.
Filters and units
- Period — last 7, 30 or 90 days, year to date, all time, or a custom range. It always applies to a trade's exit time, in UTC (market time, not the day you ran the replay).
- Symbol, Timeframe, Data (your own files, site data, or one dataset), Mode (manual, prop, automated) and Strategy pick which tests and runs are in view. Setup keeps the trades that carry a journal tag.
- Units — R is the sum of the R-multiples of trades that had a stop loss (trades without a stop have no R and are left out; the dashboard says how many). $ is the profit in US dollars as the engine recorded it, costs included. % is the profit divided by the starting balances of the tests in view, each test counted once.
- Click a symbol, timeframe, setup or strategy in its widget to filter the whole dashboard to it; the chips above the widgets show what is filtered, and Dashboard removes every group filter at once.
The headline figures
- Net result — the total in the chosen unit.
- Win rate — trades that closed with a profit ÷ all closed trades.
- Profit factor — gross profit ÷ gross loss (shown as — when there is no losing trade).
- Expectancy — the average result per trade in the chosen unit.
- Max drawdown — the largest fall from a peak of the combined equity curve (all trades in view, ordered by exit time).
- Trades — the number of closed trades.
- Each figure is compared with the previous period of the same length (for example these 30 days against the 30 days before). With All time there is no previous period, so a context line is shown instead.
Breakdowns
- Monthly — the result of each exit month, twelve months at a time.
- By session — by the trade's entry hour in UTC: Asia 00–07, London 08–12, New York 13–20, off hours 21–23.
- By weekday — by the entry day in UTC.
- By symbol and By timeframe — by the test's symbol and chart timeframe.
- By setup — a trade counts under every journal tag it carries, so a row matches what you see after filtering to that tag.
- Costly mistakes — the tags whose trades lost money, using each trade's first tag, and what the result would have been without them.
- Practice & streaks — days with a closed trade, trades per active week, and your longest winning and losing runs.
Prop challenges
A test run in Prop Firm mode is a challenge. New prop challenge offers fixed templates and a custom one:
| Template | Profit target | Daily loss limit | Max loss limit | Minimum trading days | Time limit |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 1-step challenge | 10% | 5% | 10% | — | none |
| 2-step · Phase 1 | 8% | 5% | 10% | 4 | none |
| 2-step · Phase 2 | 5% | 5% | 10% | 4 | none |
| Custom | your choice | your choice | your choice | your choice | your choice |
- Choose an account size (10k, 25k, 50k, 100k, 200k) or type any balance. If you change a template's rule, the challenge is saved as Custom, so its label never claims rules it does not use.
- During the replay, the rules panel shows the progress to the target (on closed profit), the daily-loss and max-loss buffers, the trading days, the consistency rule and the time left, and warns at 80% of a limit.
- A phase is passed when the profit target is reached and its minimum trading days are met. Reaching the target early keeps the challenge open until the days are traded, and breaking a rule in the meantime still fails it. A phase fails the moment a rule is broken.
- A 2-step challenge passes only when Phase 2 passes, and fails if either phase fails. Passing Phase 1 offers Start Phase 2 with the same account size.
- The pass rate counts finished challenges only: passed ÷ (passed + failed). Challenges in progress are listed separately on the Prop challenges page.
- A finished result is locked. It is stored with the test, and the replay cannot be stepped back past it. To practise from an earlier point, make a branch (below); a branch never changes the result.
Branching
Branch makes a copy of a test from a point you choose: the last save point, a date, or just before one trade (the branch button on a journal row). The original test is never changed.
- The copy starts exactly where the test stood at that point: the trades closed before it, the positions that were open then (even ones you closed later), the pending orders that were still waiting, the balance and equity, and the prop counters.
- What a saved test does not record cannot come back: a position's stop and target show their latest levels, and its maximum adverse and favorable excursion restart from that point.
- The copy shows where it came from ("Branch of … from …"), and Compare with original puts the two side by side.
- A branch of a prop challenge is a practice copy: it is listed under Practice branches and never counts in your pass rate.
Your data
My data lists the datasets on this device with where they came from (your file or site data), their date range, and how many tests use them. A dataset's page shows which part of its range your tests and runs have covered, every test on it, and the combined result, with New test with this data.
Exports
- Export report opens your browser's print dialog for the current view, with the active filters and the date on top. Choose Save as PDF to keep it.
- Export trades (CSV) downloads the closed trades in view, with the same columns as a test's journal export.
The sample dashboard
A new account sees a short welcome and a getting-started checklist. See a sample dashboard fills every widget with clearly labelled sample data so you can see what a used dashboard looks like. Nothing in it is saved and its buttons do nothing.
Blind tests
A blind test stays blind on the dashboard: its name, symbol, dates and prices are hidden, and it is left out of every figure until you reveal it.
